Concrete Benches That Incorporate Recycled Plastic Lumber
Doty & Sons offers concrete benches in styles that incorporate recycled plastic lumber made from 90% recycled HDPE plastic from recycled milk jugs. The recycled plastic lumber can be used as a seat and back for the bench and it does not absorb moisture, rot, or splinter and is virtually maintenance free. It comes in the stock colors Cedar and Weathered Wood with special order colors available such as gray, brown, green, and white. The color is also UV stabilized to reduce fading.
Concrete Benches That Incorporate IPE Lumber
In addition to recycled plastic lumber, Doty & Sons offers concrete benches that also use IPE lumber (pronounced ee'pay). IPE is a South American hardwood that is extremely durable and resistant to rot and insect infestation. These qualities make IPE an exceptional type of wood that is well suited for benches and other outside furnishing applications. The lumber is also sealed with a clear sealer and weathers to a silver-gray color.
